Your GP is usually your first port of call when you are felling ill and a great deal of trust is placed on them. Most appointments now last less than 10 minutes and during this time your GP should listen, examine, investigate, advise and treat you whilst taking into account your past medical history.
Unfortunately this does not always happen and as a result you can receive poor care and suffer a delay in being diagnosed, treated or even referred to a specialist, which can have avoidable serious consequences to your health and wellbeing.
Most GP surgeries also house Nurses, District Nurses, Health Visitors and Midwives who owe you the same duty of care.
Such negligence can have devastating effects on your personal and professional life.
