Some types of brain injuries are as follows:

  • Acquired brain injury (ABI) - injury caused to brain since birth

  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI) - head injury

  • Brain Tumour

  • Stroke

  • Brain Hemorrhage i.e. brain aneurysm

  • Inflammation of the brain - most often caused by infection i.e meningitis

  • Cerebral Anoxic brain injury - sometimes caused by carbon monoxide poisoning

  • Cerebral Hypoxic brain injury 

  • Hydrocephalus - build up of fluid on the brain 

  • Brain abscess 

  • Encephalitis
